CieID 1.7.9

The CieID app allows you to access online services offered by the Public Administration and private entities participating in the "Entra con CIE" program.

To activate your CIE credentials (level 1 and 2), visit www.cartaidentita.it, then open the app and configure simplified access. You can authorize your access from your computer simply by:

• Scanning the QR code on the access request page using the app and entering the CieID app code you created during device certification. If you have biometrics enabled, access is even simpler as you can use it instead of the CieID app code.

Alternatively, you can:

• Enter your CieID credentials (username and password) on the access request page, then receive a push notification in the app that you must accept using the CieID app code or biometrics.

If you access the online service from a smartphone, authenticate yourself using your CieID credentials or open the app and enter the CieID app code. Use biometric recognition if it is enabled.

If you have an Android 6.0 or later smartphone with NFC technology, you can choose to access with the highest level of security (level 3). After receiving your Electronic Identity Card, open the app, register your card by entering an eight-digit PIN, and place the card against the back of your smartphone when prompted.

In addition, the CieID app also provides the PUK Recovery feature for citizens who have associated their digital identity with an email address or mobile phone number.
